What is a Left or Rightio?

Left or Rightio is a simple color-coded paddle upgrade that helps pickleball players keep track of which side of  the court they started on in a doubles game. LEFT or RIGHT!

Our design features one band you put on the top of your grip and set at the beginning of the game. The outside of the ring is Blue representing starting on the LEFT and inside is Orange representing starting on the Right, so players can instantly track not only where they started, but where their opponents started too. Coaches and trainers find it invaluable for teaching new players the often-confusing process of keeping score, while tournament directors and officials appreciate how it makes the game clearer for everyone on and off the court. Even spectators can follow along with ease keeping the fun and excitement alive from first serve to match point.

 

Do I need two for my paddle? One Blue and One Orange?

Nope. You only need one Left or Rightio per paddle. Each piece includes both colors, with Blue on one side and Orange on the other, so it shows both directions in a single design.

How do I attach it to my paddle?

When you receive your Left or Rightio, stretch it as you pull over your grip and place at the top. If you are like us, at Left or Rightio, sometimes, we initially put upside down. Easy to fix. 

Once on your paddle, you don't need to remove it. Simply roll it over when you start a game on the other side.

Will it fit any paddle?

Yes. Left or Rightio is designed to fit any brand or style of pickleball paddle including graphite, composite, wood, or carbon fiber. It is lightweight, non-intrusive, and will not affect your paddle’s balance or performance.

What do the colors mean?

Blue always represents the LEFT side, and Orange always represents the RIGHT side. The color system makes it easy to see at a glance where you and your opponents started, helping players, coaches, and even spectators follow the action with ease.

Besides Blue and Orange are there other color combinations?

No. Blue represents starting on the LEFT and Orange represents staring on the RIGHT. Having one standard color scheme makes it easy for all players all the the time. 

How does it help me keep score?

Pickleball scoring can get confusing, especially in doubles play. Left or Rightio makes it easy to remember your starting side, track where your opponents began, and stay on the correct service order. It helps players of all levels stay focused on playing rather than figuring out who serves next.

Here is the easy way to remember. If you are on the same side of the court that you started the game as indicated by your Left or Rightio, your team score has to be even. If you are on the opposite side of the court, you team score has to be odd.

If your opponents are using a Left or Rightio, you'll easily be able to verify whether they have an even or odd number of points. 

Can I use Left or Rightio in official tournaments?

Yes. Left or Rightio is a non-electronic, non-marking accessory that does not alter paddle performance, so it is fully tournament-friendly. Many coaches and referees recommend it for organized play to help maintain fairness and clarity.

Yes. Left or Rightios can be licensed. Please call or email for details. Remember that the blue on the LEFT and orange on the RIGHT cannot be changed as having a standard for colors makes keeping score much easier especially when traveling to other courts and tournaments.
