Left or Rightio is a family business, just like pickleball is a family game. We're the Sykes family: George, his sons Grant and Gage, and his wife Kathy, playing and building out of the St. Louis area.

Every pickleball player knows the moment: mid-rally, someone asks "wait, what's the score?" and nobody's sure. We wanted a simple way to know, at a glance, whether your score should be even or odd.

We brought version 1, a single-color ring, to market at Picklecon 2025 in Kansas City. It was a great idea, but the two-color ring was what we always wanted. Blue LEFT and orange RIGHT let you, your partner, your opponents and everyone watching see where you started and know the score in a second.
